Mercedes Letitia Carrabba (Yaeger)

Profile

It starts with stories. Every place and every person carries layers of memory, perspective, and narration. My work is telling those stories, whether through art, coffee, or storytelling. I uncover connections and create through-lines. I pay attention to how history moves through the body and how it settles into places.

As a coffee roaster, I learned to work backward. Cup to roaster. Roaster to farm. Farm to soil. As a storyteller and artist, I follow the same path, always returning to the land. I am curious about origins, change, what evolves, what persists, and what survives.
